A Vision of Contemporary Tradition
Founded in the heart of Colombo in 1994, Ceylon Elegance began as a small atelier with a singular mission — to honour Sri Lanka's extraordinary textile heritage while speaking to the modern world.
Our founder, inspired by the serene architectural lines of Geoffrey Bawa and the richness of the Kandyan court, sought to create a fashion house that expressed the tropics through a contemporary lens.
For three decades, we have partnered with master artisans across the island — from the handloom weavers of Dumbara Valley to the intricate Beeralu lace makers of Galle — bringing their ancestral skills to the global stage without compromise.

Three Decades of Heritage
The Founding Atelier
Ceylon Elegance opens its doors on Rosmead Place, Colombo 7 — a small workshop with three looms and a dream to preserve Sri Lanka's textile heritage.

Dumbara Partnership
A landmark partnership with 40 handloom weaving families in Kandy's Dumbara Valley — bringing authentic traditional patterns to modern fashion.
